holy cow! iowa, vermont, DC, what?!?!?

okay, so iowa's decision last week RE: same-sex marriages was just amazing... UNANIMOUS?  in IOWA?!

but then, today, comes another decision from vermont!  and this one isn't even a judicial order, it's a legislative overruling of the governor's veto!  WOW!

and THEN, a mere few hours later, it's announced that the DC city council has passed

I was initially flummoxed by the news out of Iowa, but upon further research, they have actually been among the forerunners of just about every major shift in social dynamics this country has had, despite not getting the press about it usually devoted to places on the coasts. Still, it has been a helluva week for equal rights.

wow, go iowa. who knew. you think the people in the heartland would get a little more riled up! still, awesome though to have something that's not just on the coasts! i think it says a lot!

Yes, it's useful to have a nice, safe place to stop if one has to drive coast to coast.
