Some of you already know about this idea. It's not a very complicated one, and if I can get everyone to participate, I'll probably do it every month

Wow, I'm all over this one. Go ahead and just pick one or two of these; I put several down because they're what I'm listening to right now, but just pick out whichever sounds good to you.
"Fairytale" by Sara Bareilles, because not only is it a simple and melodic song with lovely vocals, but I really like the tone and message. Not so much an anti-man feminist song as "I'm not going to just blindly be what you want me to be."
"Night of the Dancing Flame," by Roisin Murphy, because it's awesome, pure and simple.
"Wolf&Raven" by Sonata Arctica. I'm not usually a fan of metal, but I like this one.
"Wicked Game," by HIM. I like the cover better than the original.
"Absent Friends," by The Divine Comedy. It references Oscar Wilde.
Oh, cool. I'm not familiar with most of these. I wasn't holding my breath, but I was hoping this would happen- I love hearing new, obscure stuff. I'm not a fan of HIM, so that probably won't be on this one, since you gave me so many songs to choose from, but should you want to hear one of their songs on the next one, feel free to request it. Like I said, my own taste really isn't a factor in this project (multiple choices like this are an exception). I'll get to work downloading these right away.
Mm. Try and give the HIM a chance anyway, because I don't usually like their stuff either, but I really like the cover of "Wicked Game."
If you're interested in hearing new stuff, I get a lot of my music from audiography. (Actually, that's where three of the five songs above came from.) They do themed challenges every week or month or something, and there's a lot to choose from. A lot of stuff is weird post-rock or electronic stuff that I don't really like, but there's also some really good, fairly obscure bands that get posted.
You have to take a chance and just blindly download stuff, but you can always delete it if you don't like it. ^__^
"You Oughta Know" by Alanis Morissette, because it's awesome. ....and "Killing Me Softly" by The Fugees, because it rules, and is better than the original.
Heh. I hadn't chosen that, although I'd considered it. I do have another bleeding heart unrequited love song lined up for it, though- "The Tension and the Terror" by Straylight Run. It's a great song; some of the best lyrical expression of that sort of sentiment that I've heard. But, yeah, it's gonna be that and an as yet undecided on Weezer song.
I still keep forgetting the title of that Fall Out Boy song you wanted on there. Mind posting it so I can download it the next time I'm at the computer?
"Hocus Pocus" by Focus. You can use Limewire to get that.
Go to http://www.freewebs.com/powerrangerplanet and go to their music section. Scroll down to the Turbo section and get "Hope For The World" by Ron Wasserman. Yeeeah! You know the one!
There ya go. Chris's song picks. Two good one's I think.
