I am currently writing a fellowship application, and I swear to god, if I ever hear the words "opportunity", "experience" or "valuable" again, I might just scream. Nothing like those three words, especially in combination, to make you feel like a complete and utter tool ( Read more... )

That's so weird Borat is such a success: it seems like something that would only show up in the art theaters cause no one would have heard of it. I'm looking forward to seeing it but my mom thinks he's just making fun of muslims. Do you get that impression at all? I didn't make the connection to muslims -- for the most part I thought he was making fun of stupid Americans!

I don't think there was any fun made of muslims. Jews, yes. Gypsies, yes. Stupid Americans, yes. I would recommend seeing it soon, or at least while the theaters are packed. It was really fun to watch it with a packed theater.

I admit...I was laughing so hard I was crying at the Gypsy jokes.

When you're a Gypsy, you're so overlooked that any press is truly good press!!!

Seriously, though, it's not a movie I'll buy or probably watch again, but it was such a fun experience. And getting to read all of the "original" captions was fun too.
