So she goes to the phone with a question.]

Who's Santa Claus?

He's a guy who comes down your chimney on Christmas and leaves presents.

Usually he's not real.

Presents? Is that why everyone's getting each other presents right now?

How do you know that? Most people don't think that people like me are real.

Well, it's Christmas, and that's why people buy each other presents. And yeah, I'm willing to admit that I could be wrong about Santa Claus now that we're living in a nuthouse town.

I see...I've never celebrated Christmas before. Christians celebrate that, don't they?

Has anyone ever seen him?

He comes on Christmas Eve to bring presents to all the kids that have been good all year long.

Really? That's nice of him. But what does he do with bad children?

Bad kids get a lump of coal in their stocking.

Well, I hope I haven't been bad, then.

I don't know what's happening right now though. That's not supposed to be what Santa's about at all!

He did. They can't be talking about the real Santa.

So the real Santa is much nicer, then.

The Santa I know is a jolly old man who works at the North Pole with his Jynx, preparing toys for all the good little boys and girls who believe in him. And on Christmas Eve, he and his Stantler fly through the sky with a magic sleigh delivering all the presents.

...what's a Jynx? Or a Stantler?

Oh, right... They're different kinds of Pokémon?

Oh, Pokemon. We don't have those where I'm from. Or at least, there aren't any in my forest...
