Yes, I'm still alive. I've hardly been to LJ at all the past year, but I felt an urge to post a haiku from work. (passive/aggressive, I know, but it was my ounce of defiance)
How have things been going for you? You're obviously still around, any interesting news from the fandom?
I swear I'll be back soon and start catching up with everyone's journals. I have limited connection from home *shakes fist at AT&T's spotty service* but I'm finding myself less and less motivated to play by the rules.

I've lost interest--completely. I had this really busy week in February where I just didn't have time to read fanfic--after weeks of binging reading off crack_broom recs to plump up our non-SSHG recs for Know-it-Alls. When I tried to go back to reading, even with SSHG, especially with SSHG, I had this too-full nauseous feeling that said, no, not one more.
Frankly, I'm surprised it took this long. I've pretty much been treated like shit in this fandom, have had writer's block for months, and every time I'd read my f-list felt more sour at fandom BS--so definitely time for at least a break.
Last I kept up with the ship, quantity and quality was imo down, as you'd expect post-canon--and worse, those writers whose style and talents I admire who are still active just don't write the kind of Snape or Hermione (AND Snape and Hermione dynamic) that pulled me in so
( ... )
