So I was at an interview for becoming a Part Time lecturer for the writing program here at rutgers, when I let slip that not only do I have a blog but that i actually discovered people were reading and appreciating the more serious entries ( Read more... )

Yes, I do think that you should go for it. Especially if you get the position. Oddly, I have read instructor blogs where they have answered student questions and posted exam questions. Very helpful when you are researching various medical issues. And yes some of these have been on Live Journal. Currently, one of my friends has established a separate Live Journal account for a book that she is writing. Then again, I've another friend that is a professional blog writer. That's right he has a blog where they pay him for writing entries in it. So, it just depends on where you what to take it.
