I know nothing about cars, demo, my aunt had similar problems and it had to do with the engine over heating. I don't remember what caused it to over heat, but I remember she took a hose and cooled it off, and it would drive again for another hour or so.

Of course, don't try anything until you're sure it's over heating. But it might lead you in the right direction...?

i dont think its overheating..non of the sensors indicate it.. i getout..maybe 6 miles ( it always seems 6 miles ) and it starts to act up. *nuzzle* all the fans are working, the radiator is working and the engine appears cool. (i could even remove the oil lid as it was that cool ) . the funny thing is i can wait for 20 minutes and it starts right up and shifts with no problem.

1) Listen close. IF you floor it in any gear and hear a whisteling sound before it begins to die like a airflow being restricted gut the CAT. (Catalytic converter ( ... )

And as I re read this. It sounds like a exaust issue. Since the break pedal gets hard to press to slow down. (meaning the motor can not draw in the air it needs because it cant expell it's waste, the assist for the brakes is done my manifold vaccume) and then the stalling. Check the CAT's the primary one is probbably sludged up and if the motor has over 140,000 on it, well it is going to burn a bit of oil (Hundai's love there oil) and well burnt oil +cold CAT= the cat becoming cloged (especialy on cold mornings becuase it takes some time for the reaction process to start inside of the CAT. Lemme know what you find.
