I got it! Pending a background check of course, but I just got the job offer from the company I really wanted! And at $8000 a year more than I was making at my last job, at that, plus 401K, medical, dental, vision and vacation. Whoo!

I talked with my brother this morning, his step-daughter's HS graduation is in June. I keep forgetting that she's 18 and was surprised when he told me she was sending out announcements. I'm leaving work at around 2:30 to change clothes and walk across the parking lot to the terminal building. My flight leaves at 3:30.

All I can really say is "Oh, thank God, finally!"

I'll be sans internet though for a whole four days, the horror. ;)

There is a drawback to having an (over)active imagination. When you see something slimy at the edge of the drain stopper in your bathroom you don't automatically think "Ew, slime mold that really needs hit with a shot of bleach and rinsed down the drain." I am, at best, a point and shoot photographer, but I took my camera out to test out the new batteries I bought for vacation (ie, make sure they're going to last more than 30 minutes like the last set I got), and actually had some fairly decent shots turn out.

My apartment is about 4 blocks from the water so I went down there the other evening.
