All this 'we' stuff makes me think of pregnancy. Especially the "we're really excited...blah blah, get it *right* like we want our healthy little bundle of looovveee."

Why the heck do you think it's just "we"? Because other people are never excited the same way. "We" are dorks, and possibly the only ones that care as much as "we" do.
...and really, these are ideas that lead to metaphors that really didn't need to be.
