Yet, instead, I'm frantically panicking over a job interview I have on Thursday, after a several month dry spell, in the field of EMS. I'm actually interviewing for a company near me that does what I want to do with my life. Everything is exactly what I want, it's too perfect. Something has to be wrong ( Read more... )

Ah, we share a dislike for resumes and cover letters then... For me, just the action of writing a cover letter makes me feel pretentious.

I know how that goes. OMG resumes and cover letters suck balls. =\ I have one that, to my general knowledge, does not suck. I could send it to you and you could substitute all the details. Just let me know!

I won't go into teacher mode about cover letters other than to provide a few quickies.

> Tell a little bit about yourself, but don't go overboard.
> Be honest and open about your work history.
> Explain what you know about them and why you are hopeful for employment.
> Proofread, proofread, proofread!
> Then proofread again.

I'd offer to edit for you, but it sounds like we won't have enough time. Just try to relax (I know, that's hard to do) and think positive. I know you can do it!
