So we made an offer on this other place. Requesting 7,000 cash back for "decorator's allowance" and that all appliances be in good working order, and be replaced if they are not. And the hole in the wall to be filled and sanded!

Slight problem of the tenants. Upon the offer being accepted and the removal of the subjects, we can give the tenants 60

Upside is moving goes a lot more smoothly if you have that extra time to pack and make arrangements finding out where you are moving to. How does their rent work when ownership changes hands?

Well, they get a free months rent as a thank you for having to move, but the seller pays that, not us. So basically HE'D give us one of their month's rent.

The awkward thing is going to be the cleaning. We made one of our conditions that the place had to be professionally cleaned. But there'll be people living there to mess it back up again.

The other awkward thing is the fact that I want to paint it and redo the floors before moving in. Maybe our landlord here would let us live here for half a month extra?

Well, that sucks. All you can do is speak with your landlord and see what he's willing to negotiate with you. I hope it all works out.
