boo...flat surf!

My training is going better than I had hoped for. I was a little worried about my timed 500m swim time, so I have really been pushing cardio and endurance. I miss my saxophone...i am going to get it shipped to me very soon, i can't take being without it anymore.

I've been riding my bike around all day because the rear axle of my truck broke, and it won't be fixed until the 4th of January. It is good exercise, but it is pretty annoying at the same time. I may die today...these waves are the biggest, gnarliest runners i have ever seen in my entire life. I tried to punch through the break for about an hour this morning, and i made it out twice to get two of the most intense rides of my life. i'm back...what a fantastic trip. Tons of memories and photos(not to mention sore muscles) Did some of the best surfing of my life...always good times. I'm off to go set up my job now...wish me luck

I had the most fun i have ever had surfing yesterday. The surf wasn't huge or anything like that, it was just long, clean lines that were consistent. I was surfing so well that i stayed nearly 6 hours, catching my last wave as the sun finally went down. That is my favorite way to end a day. I was honored as lifeguard of the year today at the county commissioners meeting. They will now pay for 2/3rds of my schooling to be a fire fighter, but i am stuck in a hard spot...do i keep doing what i am doing, or do i move in to the fire department?
