Flickr...

*sigh* Talk to me about Flickr alternatives. I've about had it with all the "improvements" making it load slow as molasses and not letting me edit anything.

P.S. I have almost 6,000 photos stored there, so something that will auto import would be nice.

Have they changed something else? :( I was considering at least canceling pro since it looks like everything I needed was free now... Just paranoid they've taken something I use out of free on the sly.
Are you looking for storage? Showing your photos? Basic hosting? Being able to print them easily?

Storing and sharing mostly. I use Flickr as a backup for my hard drive. I rarely print them out.

Right now I'm looking at 500px.com. It's geared toward professional photogs, but looks like their $25 plan is similar to Flickr.

It's just... the thought of moving all those pictures. Gah. Why can't Flickr just listen to their customers? The yahoo toolbar is annoying as hell, and the fact that if I try to add a description or change the title I get an error has put me over the edge.

Okay, I'm about sold on 500px. They have an importer! :D

Good luck with the photo-move! I was leaning towards IPernity (mostly because their importer transfers descriptions and file folders) but their lack of advanced stats is a bit of a trade down from Flickr, and I'm not thrilled that they don't have HTML embed codes enabled for free users.

I got a trial account with 500px in May, just to see what functionality I'd be gaining/losing. It looks like a nice Flickr alternative.

I'll check out IPernity. I'm just not thrilled with any of them. I'm considering buying an external hard drive to have a real backup and just using something online for the ones I want to share. *sigh* Why do they always mess with the services I really like?
