Punta Cana and a rant

Punta Cana was beautiful! It only rained a little bit the last 2 days or so. Besides that, perfect weather. I learned a little bit of spanish. Not enough to hold a conversation but I know how to order a drink without ice....and gracias....and hola...and a few other things. I SWAM WITH DOLPHINS! SO MUCH FUN! And you know those two wheeler thingys

Allow me to add my vote in with the folks above - you were completely in your rights to turn him down. I've always been, frankly, disgusted by the members of my gender who look at sex in a "calculated conquest" sort of way, and from the sound of it, this guy fits the bill. Screw him. Um, only don't.

And who the hell needs sex when you're para-sailing, bartending, segwaying, and swimmin with dolphins? It doesn't exactly sound like you were wasting your time!

Totally agreed with those above. Guy sounded like a complete ass, and really, you're better than that. Remember, you've gone through a lot and matured a lot over the year or so. Frankly, I think this shows you to be more mature than your sisters, at least in this circumstance, because yeah, it's vacation and yada yada, but...it's also a matter of having enough respect for yourself to know what you do and don't want, and what you shouldn't have to put up with. So, good for you. You did the right thing in stopping him.

And, I don't think it means you're broken. You may be overreacting to some things, or you may not be, and may just be more aware of how many falsities people put forth. There's nothing wrong with waiting until you're in a scenario that doesn't make you freak out and want to run away from it. I believe it will happen, it's just a matter of waiting for it to. But don't worry or rush it...there's plenty of time.
