I just got back from my second trip to Louisiana this summer and, this time, can say clearly what we all would have expected: Louisiana is gorgeous and should be preserved and loved, while Texas should be fenced in and destroyed

I'm hurt! Conservative Land would have smaller businesses, lower taxes, real freedom of speech, and legalized drugs; there would be fewer lawyers and more entrepreneurs, and the government wouldn't discriminate because of race. Texas has none of those things. You can't be Conservative Land if you don't ever give a damn about actually conserving anything.

Sorry Dan! Perhaps I should call it "Ultra-Conservative Jesus Land". This city actually has an old stadium that has been converted into a church! And the only conservative I deal with on a regular basis over here is a Bush loving emo kid from Rochester. I forget that some of you are only somewhat Right.
You know, it's oddly comforting to see you diss on Texas like that. A common arguement my ex and I had was about whether I'd like Texas. I always said no, I'll visit, but I didn't want to live there, he said there was nothing wrong with it. We broke up before I ever visited Houston though....
haha, I don't think Rob notices that most people aren't as oblivious to their surroundings as he is! It's a good thing you guys broke up before he convinced you to move here!
Go to Austin. It's Texas's "hip" city. My friend Anu went there for college and says it doesn't suck like the rest of Texas. San Antonio is kinda interesting, too, but touristy. Houston, however, is a craphole, and has been a craphole since my mom lived there in the '70s.
A craphole!! I've been looking for the ideal word to describe this place! And I have heard that Austin is a cool city, I'll have to make some time to visit before I leave.
See! The stripmall rash is spreading! Texas has got it bad, but it's slowly popping up other places. This is why we need a fence around the whole state, to quarantine it before the disease goes any farther.
