um because, other then being blatently homosexual...which even if I was homosexual I'd like to think I would be a fashionable one with better taste then that, a plastic slinky doesn't have the patented soothing sound that is so inherient in any true slinky. Nor the metal feel which is akin to that of the oriental music balls that you roll in your hand...hey! There's a connection. The Slinky is the Western equivalant of oriental relaxation balls.
