Exactly. Most ill-tempered declawed cats were ill-tempered to begin with. It's usually issues that don't even connect to the cat being declawed

lol honestly I agree. I put on a facade in my journal about wah declawed cats could potentially have problems (lol 1 in a million chance tho) and actually I will declaw any cats I get. But I don't like to publically announce that because I have (well had, I removed a few) people that were active members of SPO and preachers of "feline rights" or whatever the crap. I wasn't in the mood to get into a bitchfest so I acted like I was on their side.
I agree with you, I have NEVER even met a bad tempered declawed cat. Growing up we owned a lot of cats. Many of them were declawed. None of them had issues. They were sweet and still acted like they had claws, they didn't even know. My sister has the most awesome cat and he's declawed. I mean, this cat thinks he's a dog. And he knows how to shake. Yeah, awesome cat.
And to add to your personality thing... I have known PLENTY of cats who are not declawed and have been total assholes

I have you beat. Cecilia, the girl we work for, has a male cat who's probably 8-10 months old. -He plays fetch-. He had a fluffy square thing that he lost at our place when we were babysitting him, but you could play fetch with him for hours. The funny thing, it wasn't toss and the cat runs after. He would run after it, pick it up, and bring it back. Usually he would set it down next to us but there were times he even nudged it into our hands. But, since he lost the fluff square, he now does it with rolled up straw wrappings. One of our co-workers brings her dog to work, so we think he picked up the habit from her

Well I can be pretty anal about some things. I do agree those cat foods are shit. Sure Science Diet was manufactured a little better with the animals well being in mind, but more than that a lot of these companies are looking for profit. They use the least of high grade food that they can and then stuff it full of corn- a filler that cats and dogs can't even digest- so they're not getting a lot of nutrition out of their food. They have to eat more of it to get the vitamins they need and because the corn passes so quickly they are hungry more often and can overeat

That community is one of the most anal-retentive fuckfests I've ever seen, much akin to the parenting communities like booju_newju.
I've actually met an ill-tempered declawed cat, but Cinnamon was a meanass to begin with.
