Hmmmm...depends. If you are short on cash, I'd wait for Netflix. There really isn't anything going on in this movie that warrants a big screen, or even needs to be seen ASAP because it is soooo good. On the other hand, it is Star Trek, and that is better than most movies out there.
The crew gets sectioned up and spends most of the time on some planet. The fight scenes are quick and confusing, to the point I found myself just sitting back and waiting for them to end instead of trying to figure out what was going on. If you read my entry, you have the bones of the plot, the rest is details. Even the characters do not really reveal staggeringly interesting stuff...like, I don't know if Uhura and Spock are still an item or not.
Had this movie occurred first, I would probably be satisfied. As a third installment? I feel it is thin.
