i'm never sure these days if anyone is reading my journal. i've dropped to posting very infrequently, and so i wouldn't be surprised if the readership has dropped accordingly ( Read more... )

Come to psinging not just once, but a few times over a span of a few months. Arrive in the first hour, before 9:00. Let yourself get deeply enough engaged with it to see whether this is an activity/community/context that would feed you at this stage of your life.

Certainly OK to unscreen :-).

i'm very glad that you left this comment. i feel like there's more to it than the actual words, if that makes any sense, and i'm taking it to heart...

Well, I don't feel like I know you well enough to give a more significant answer than this: Be nicer to yourself. Atonement is all well and good, and it is reasonable to try to make right things you may have inadvertently made wrong initially, but in the end, you are human. You will make errors, and your actions will have unintended consequences. Your friends will give you a lot more room for this than you will, often enough. So: be nicer to yourself.

Since I think this is good advice for anyone (even, possibly especially, for myself), feel free to unscreen if you want.

I read your journal every time I check LJ. I'll try to comment more. I often am not sure anyone reads mine either ( ... )

i could have said the same thing: i read *your* journal every time i check LJ, and i'll try to comment more often, too.

beyond that: let's make good on the tea-and-cookies idea sometime when you're in town, and go from there. i love the question about what re-sources one... that's a great way to think about it. although i do some things, i don't do the ones that i know of which really work often enough, and i'm not sure i've found very many things that do really work. certainly not enough, on either count.
