My tC is the BOMB, but Corollas are good too. I think the engines are very similar, the main difference is that the tC is a lot lighter, so it gets much better acceleration than the Corolla.

600 pounds can make a difference, the tC weighs in at 2900 or so doesn't it?

Ya, a stock tC has a 2.4 liter, 161hp VVT-i 4 cylinder engine and weighs in at a total of 2970 lbs (for the automatic). So it actually has the same engine as the Camry, but weighs about 400-500 lbs less. The Corolla weighs about the same as the tC but has a smaller engine.
