drabble collection; six drabbles
I have posted six drabbles on my Tumblr (find them here somewhere) - these are all 100-word drabbles, which I like to write because that's the original meaning of drabbles. It's kind of awesome to write them because you're restricting yourself to one hundred words - you're telling a story in so few words. I like it!
warning: some of these are in all small letters either because I felt it fit or I didn't feel like typing properly.
Now for the drabbles - six pairings, six drabbles! They're not much, but I'm kinda proud of myself.
i. cashing in - baekhyun/chen
as soon as they put on the movie, jongdae snuggles closer to baekhyun to use him as a pillow.
"yah, get off me," baekhyun mutters dryly. jongdae shakes his head.
"this is my christmas present, right? you’re mine, so i can cuddle you all i want."
"in front of the cameras?" baekhyun’s words are a soft whisper now.
"in front of the cameras." jongdae smiles a stupidly cheeky smile and baekhyun wants to slap him, but he is right.
"fine, you brat." baekhyun pouts slightly and absently runs his fingers through jongdae’s hair.
it was a stupid christmas present anyway.
ii. the most handsome - chen/suho
it seems that junmyeon has lost some of his confidence.
junmyeon doesn’t show it for the rest of the filming for the episode, but when they finally return to the dorm, he goes straight to his bedroom, curling up in bed. jongdae follows soon after.
"can i join you?" junmyeon doesn’t answer. jongdae lies down next to him anyway.
"i was just kidding, you know."
"you think sehun is the most handsome."
"not really."
junmyeon turns to look at him. “really?”
"you’re the most handsome, hyung." jongdae’s words are a whisper as he leans forward to press their lips together.
iii. Letting It Go - Sehun/Luhan
Set during Mama!AU.
They’ve been driving through the night. Luhan and Sehun lie in a bed each in the van. Luhan concentrates on using his power to keep everything upright rather than sleeping.
Sehun blinks. Crawls into Luhan’s bed. Luhan smiles gently, but it is strained.
"Do you think we’ll find him, hyung?"
"We will."
"Alive?"
"Hopefully."
A few seconds pass.
"You need to rest, hyung. Don’t worry about our things."
"I’m okay."
He grabs the older boy’s hands. “Hey. Leave it.”
Items fall down to the floor. Luhan sighs with relief and weariness. “I’m worried about him, Sehun.”
"Me too."
They rest.
iv. Shut Up, Hyung - Sehun/Tao
Inspired by this.
"Sehuna."
It’s a soft whisper, but Sehun hears it. “Yes, hyung.”
"Spiderman is very cool," Tao whispers.
"I know, hyung."
"Imagine being Spiderman."
"Shhh, hyung, watch the movie."
"I am watching the movie, Sehuna.”
"No, you’re talking."
"Fine." Tao huffs and shuts up.
Not for long, though.
"Wow, he’s so cool, Sehuna."
"Be quiet, hyung. This is the exciting part."
A few more minutes and Tao bursts into laughter at a funny scene. He is hushed by someone sitting behind them, as well as Sehun’s hand punching the older boy’s arm lightly.
"You’re embarrassing, hyung."
"You’re just jealous of Spiderman."
v. you're mine - chen/kyungsoo
Inspired by this.
kyungsoo throws an arm around jongdae’s shoulders and leans in, scrunching his face when jongdae rubs his hooded face against kyungsoo’s own. he can practically feel the grin on the other boy’s face and can’t help but smile when his fellow singer waves to the crowd.
when he gets a break in the middle of the song, kyungsoo drops the arm holding the microphone down to his side and whispers softly in jongdae’s ear.
"you’re mine."
there’s a sharp intake of breath from jongdae before the older man lets out a short laugh. kyungsoo’s heart leaps.
"yes. yes, i am."
vi. trivial - baekhyun/kyungsoo
Inspired by this.
baekhyun isn’t sure how long it’s been. he thinks maybe five years or so. five years since kyungsoo left him after a heated argument.
he never came back.
in retrospect, their fight had been over something so trivial he can’t remember what it was.
but now, as kyungsoo is standing on his doorstep, he doesn’t know what to feel.
"and another thing," the younger man says. "you were never good at chess. i just let you win."
baekhyun stares at him for a while before bursting into laughter. of all the things to say when he came back to him.
