The end of the year always seems to bring about a certain amount of reflection about how the rest of the year was. This is normal. It also seems that we are coming up on that one year mark. The holidays; customarily a time for family and friends always makes me remember friends present and past; those that we've lost. This time of the year has always been one of the hardest for me, as I don't quite seem to "fit in" anywhere.
A fond memory I am lucky to have is Thanksgiving 2003 that I shared with Scott, Glen, John and Neil at Scott's place. All of us "singles" had decided to share/spend our Thanksgiving together, since we had no family/significant others to speak of.
We had a turkey and a duck, along with all the traditional accoutrements, as well as three pies, and we ate until our bellies were full. Great conversation, great food, and great friends, what more could one want? It was a Happy Thanksgiving.
i bet that was a really great time. i heard i missed out BIG time by not going to Neil's family's thanksgiving. i went to another friend's party last year. question for you... what are you doing for thanksgiving?
if you're looking for a place, i'm going to invite you now to hang out with my band at james' girlfriend's house. we're going to crash their party and i'm sure another would make it quite the merrier. i don't want you to spend it by yourself. :)

But, if I am, I usually spend it alone and sulking. Best that way.
