I'm on a total romantic comedy kick right now and I think a 50 First Dates AU would be nice. Gerard would fit the Lucy character very nicely. They are both artists and have a similar personality. I don't know who would play the Henry character, but I'm kind of a sucker for Frerard ( Read more... )

I am half-asleep & have nothing helpful to add, but I immediately thought of this scene from That's The Way We Get By by softlyforgotten:

When I was typing this idea I totally thought of that fic! I was like I vaguely remember a fic the mentions that movie.

While that is kind of a hilarious mental picture I think I would have Mikey a little more true to life. Awesome and supportive, and just Mikey.

I actually started writing it, but it is way different from the movie. I like it though.

(i.e Gerard loses his memory after being thrown off a horse on his fathers small town farm. Enter Frank who moves back to said small town because his mother has stage three lung cancer).
