I got to thinking today about how very different my life is from others. We all have individual lives of course. One life compared to another is so vastly different as to be difficult to categorize, though we all eat, and sleep, and die. Different people have different values and different desires, dreams, ideals, etc. I get told that I'm not achieving my potential quite a bit too. I just tell people that I define success in how happy I am, not in how much money I make, or how glorified my title sounds. It gets weird looks, but it's true. Totally get what you're saying. And I'm glad that you're reaching YOUR dreams. :)

I saw someone with a world-view similiar to mine, but who was brave enough to follow his own path and not be constrained by society.

I've never been that strong. I just fit in as best I can and keep my thoughts to myself.

I am not a particularly strong person myself. My path is laid in front of my through being the thing that hurts me least in life. If it has taken me places it feels just like fitting in as best as I can,.. despite its appearance of non conformity.
