So I think I found this on facebook a few years ago, on that bumper sticker application. It made a really good angry icon, used most when my brother royally fucked up a couple of years ago (gosh, I can't believe it's been that long), but I think I've outgrown it.
First off, I think I took this from persephone33 . Second, it's about theatre, and I like theatre. I haven't been too involved since graduating high school, but I love how theatre is a good metaphor (correct?) for life. Third, I actually have this picture in my room. My mom got it for my 20th birthday, from Target or someplace like that. She got another one, but this is definitely my favorite of the two. It looks so pretty all framed.
Blondie used to be my best friend, but we had a falling out at the end of last year. Several of my userpics were uploaded as a result of that. We don't talk anymore, and I'd really rahter she stop trying to insinuate herself back into my life. Saying it that way sounds weird, so now I'm not sure if I even said that right. Anyway, we'd been drifting apart for months before the incident and I just feel like now (and at the beginning of the year) that we're more like strangers than old friends. Definitely not an icon I anticipate getting much use out of.
I'm not sure where I got this from. It could have been facebook, or it could have been the journal where people got their English Thugs icon from. I did college, briefly, and intend to go back at some point to finish. What I remember and miss most were the non-academic activities I got myself into: late-night food runs to Wawa; my involvement with the theatre productions; getting inducted into the troupe; walking home at 4 am because movie was always in someone else's dorm hall (and not the best idea since schoolw as on the bad side of town); dealing with roommates; hurting my foot while moving; Easter egg hunting and trick-or-treating on campus; all the remodeling that occurred on campus; my friends. Plus, everybody's college stories typically stray away from the academics, which is just funny.
This used to be my default userpic before I had one of my name made. This was also the icon I used when I'm just happy and content with life (now it's normally this entry pic or the Escape pic). I just like how comfortable in her own skin this person looks even though she's likely attracting some attention. I try to be more like her. I also think this was a facebook steal.
Go Meg! Before Mulan, she was probably the spunkiest Disney chick. Actually, I'd say she still is. She was all about Girl Power, even while enslaved to Hades. So she fell in love, like all the other girls before her. She just wasn't as soft or as weak as them, and she certainly wasn't waiting around to be rescued (unless ordered). I think I may have even compared her to Ginny Weasley once.
