I sort of felt my undergrad days were underused - I went to no parties, didn't really make any close friends until my final year... more or less I just spent all my time studying and on the computer. But in spite of all that, I still enjoyed my time there a lot, and learned a few things while I was at it... which is all that matters in the long run. And it seems to me that, even if it might not have been everything you were told it might be, you've made infinite more use of the time than I did! Ultimately college is what you make of it, and doesn't have to conform to any cultural template or stereotype. It seems to me there are good reasons for making the choices that you did, and there's no need to brood on the past.
