that is one of my favorite german words "mampf". This has a name, when a word imitates the sound of something, how is that word in german? in spanish is onomatopeya and i know in french is something like that, and in karambolage i saw the german word but I forgot, remind me?

I actually don't know what the word is in German, but in English it's onomotopeia, or something like that. Not sure of the spelling.
