Mom's fine

Oh, hey, have I mentioned that I'll be out in MD June 6th, 7th and 8th?  Not going to be for long.  Nick, my birth 1/2 brother (got that?) is getting married on June 7th and actually invited us out to the wedding.  It's a good excuse to go home and visit my parents and all ( Read more... )

Huh. Adam's sister-in-law, Heidi, had to be rushed to the hospital on Monday. At that point, she'd had a migraine for 3 days - and hadn't slept in that long - they did a CT scan and found swelling and fluid in her brain. So they sent her to the medical center in Bangor, where they did an MRI and long story short, there's NOTHING WRONG. Which is pretty freaky, if you ask me. Obviously, *something* wasn't right...

But anyway. Glad your mom is ok! And yay for getting to go back home and see the folks! :)

That is odd. Fluid in the brain just doesn't HAPPEN for no reason.

I think I've officially decided that unless my husband actually WANTS to wear his wedding band, I wont ask him to do so. I've seen to many examples of hard working, well meaning fireman evicerate their ringer finger because of wearing their ring while at work.

So I still am thinking on whether I'll ask him to wear it when he isn't at the FH, or just trust him. Keeping Brian in mind when I say this, I know he would never cheat on me so really the wedding band is merely a technicality to make the other women around him back off. To make them realize he is off the market. But... then there is the problem of getting him to marry me in the first place... I'd be happy living with him, but my parents/family want me to marry the guy not just live with him. Blah.

Many things going through my head... :-)

I trust your opinions so if you have any on the matter you're welcome to share them.

Oh, I definantly WANT to wear my wedding band, it was just that it was too tight on me. I could get it on but it was cutting off the circulation to my finger. So I took it back to Danny, who we got it from, and he said he'd melt it down and recast it. He's had it since last year but I hadn't called him to tell him what my ring size was. Did manage to call him on Friday and left him a message.

Just plain gold band? Or did it have something special like diamonds or anything? (out of curiosity)

Not quite. I'm not a big fan of gold jewelry at all. I usually wear sterling silver. Of course you can't get sterling silver wedding bands. We chose white gold instead and it's not quite plain. It has some little dots around it.
