Anyone ever heard of hypermiling?  I saw a video on CNN about it a couple of weeks ago about this guy that managed to boost his Honda up to 50 MPG.  Ok, honestly, some of the stuff he was doing was pretty extreme, HOWEVER, some of what he was doing was really, really easy to do.  Such as, when you see a red light down the road rather then keeping ( Read more... )

You know, I wish I could convince Marcy that slowing down really doesn't add but a minute or two, literally, to our commute. She doesn't buy it though. She INSISTS that when we're in a hurry or late just floor it. Marcy's Escape has the roof rack but I haven't taken it off yet. Not sure if I will or now. We have a tendency to loose things in our garage and we actually do use the roof rack when we travel.

My mom went onto a "Hyper-mile" craze shortly after fuel started to take a price hike. I want a motorcycle BAD but I obviously can't afford it, and with my grandfather's accident last August... I won't be getting one any time soon. :-P To bad really... I miss riding with the wind and feeling like the world is my oyster by just being on the road and riding.

Brian and I both miss riding... neither of us can afford it.

I can't do a motorcycle, unfortunately. My balance is atrocious. The last time I rode a motorcycle it was a little Honda 120 and I dropped it. Now I have considered either a trike or a motorcycle with a side car, but if I'm gonna spend that d@mned much money, shit, I'd by a hybrid.
