Looking for Group

Puppy adventures in both reality and fantasy continue in their typical haphazard fashion and whilst I'm in little danger of ever getting confused between the two it's still something of a wry amusement to my excessively analytical mind how the two comapre, contrast and complement each other. Still, the fun news be that having enjoyed some charming ( Read more... )

He is a lovely wolf, is he nameless? I prefer him to Mr Scuttles (but don't tell him). I think you have to join a guild and then talk to them and do dungeons with them and things, but I expect Guild Wars is different.

Hope you have fun over the Christmas time, we are mostly driving with occasional stops to eat food and open presents, but hopefully it will be okay and maybe fun at times. I'm working Christmas Eve and Mr Bethnoir is working Boxing Day so it's all a bit of a mad dash.

Not a very friendly start to the new year for you then! I have a blood test to begin mine, yippee (not). Take care x

I haven't though of a name to give my wolfy companion yet but I'm more than open to suggestions! Still, I doubt that Mr. Scuttles is likely to be too offended by your preference, these arachnid types don't generally put much of a priority on sociability in any case. As far as being sociable in the game goes though, joining a guild would certainly helps me in making friends, much as it would have done in WoW. The mechanics of GW2 though do make it easier to adventure alongside other people without having to explicitly join a group. In some ways this helps since I've shared in events with people far more than I ever did in WoW, although on the other hand it also reduces the motivational need to make the effort required to force myself past the natural discomfort I feel at the thought of putting myself forward and introducing myself to folk. On the other hand though it also makes it feel like a bit less of a daunting leap so mayhap in time it may yet helps. Well I shall see how things go and doubtless you haven't yet heard the last of my ( ... )

The Wolf with no name, maybe? bethnoir December 22 2012, 16:21:35 UTC
well, Christmas is nearly upon us, are you ready? If no one else is sick and the West Country isn't totally underwater, we shall soon be off there. Excitement levels fairly low, but at least we're all alive. Hope you find fun with your game and seeing relatives. Adios.

In keeping with the season perhaps, 'Santa Paws'? wolfy_codex December 23 2012, 00:49:23 UTC
I'm as ready as I'll ever be. Random nervousness unhelpfully abounds and I'm yet to entirely decide the best means for getting from Sheffield station to Dad's house. Stuffs will hopefully be worked out one way or another though I must confess I haven't really seen much excitements about the place here either. Glad to hear you are all alive at least and hopes after the floods and the sickness you aren't visited by any more of the 7 plagues of Egypt and yet has an enjoyable Christmas. Take care dear friend and my bestest tinselly wishes be with you. :) X.
