New years eve and new years day... I hate three days in the entire year and these are two of them... This so called "Holiday" pisses me off. Its just another excuse for alcoholics to get drunk. I sit there at the party while I watch some of my "friends" and "loved ones" get wasted... any respect I had for these people gets lost right there and

I hate it on how on New years Eve and New Years day everything is fuckin' closed! My god. Give me a fuckin' break. But that is just my opinion. What other holiday do you hate? Because you said three and you only said two.

Yes, it does suck how everything is closed. I’m sorry if you were offended by my post... but you’re a kind person, so that’s the only reason I would be sorry if you were offended... The third day isn’t a holiday, its just another ordinary day... its nothing special, but i still hate it more so than new years.

Heh, don't know about that, because one... i usually don't say much... and two, all of my opinions hit close to home for me, due to the past and for that reason it leaves me closed minded on things such as this, and i hate it... because i would like to think that most of the time i try to have an open mind, from other people's view about life and religion to people and thier lifestyles. Besides, it doesn’t help much, something coming from some one whose so closed minded on certain subjects... heh, and this coming from the guy who tells all his friends not to be. This prob all made no sense, so sorry. My lack of sleep is effecting my typing and wording and how its all coming out. But thanks, it means a lot to me for some one to say something like that.

I feel the same way man.
I used to drink all the time when I lived in a frat house. I did my time doing that, and it got me nowhere. Since then I don't drink. Whats the point? Feel like shit the next day? I mean I've gone out and had a few drinks here and there, but nothing to the point where it gets me trashed, ya know?

I do agree though...just another "holiday" for people to get drunk and act beyond stupid. Thats all these hoildays are for anymore. Cash flow for alcohol comapanies.

I'm gald you kinda stopped... And your right, its sad to see that alcohol is the only reason for the season for most people today. But to each his own, i have no right to pass judgment on others (even though this whole comment was about putting down alcoholics...). Oh well, at the end of the day, i still have my morals and know i'm not waking up the next day with a hang over. Glad to hear I’m not the only one with this opinion too, because it sure feels like it most of the time.

Well to be honest I basically have almost stopped. In all honesty I may have like 1 or 2 beers every 2-3 months now, and thats if I go out to eat with my friends. And even then I don't my drinks. So...you get the picture though :P

But yah, I do 110% agree with you.

I just have this big problem about alcohol and drinking that I will never get over, even a drop of that poison is too much to me. Although its good to see that you don’t abuse it and don’t depend on it as so many people do. So yeah, I hear ya.

Getting Drunk is not big and its not clever.

I drink now and again, i dont get drunk ill have a bottle of lime and vodka because i like that taste but i dont get drunk, my freinds get drunk at partys and im the only sober one and i feel lonely but im always the one to look after them when they vomit, break down into emotional tears and stop them from killing each other.

I hate my dad when hes drunk, the way he comes in and trys to kiss me and hug me. He makes me feel sick.

Its good to know that you don't over do it... and i'm sorry that your friends feel the need to get drunk... and your dad. I'm glad that you can stand out, and that you don't have to follow "The crowd." I even admire you for taking care of them when they are like that. Thats a great quality in a friend, i only wish mine would share the same respect and kindness you hold to your friends with me...
