More and more, I’m realizing that I’ve missed out on some genuinely girlish experiences along the way. For example, I remember playing with trucks in dirt but not pretending to get married. I don't know if lovely's the word, but they are something. Andy Flecther (at least I think it's Andy) is wonderful. Sometimes I forget there are lyrics. I tend to listen to background sounds more. There are songs I've been listening to since I dated DJ and I'm only vaguely familiar with the lyrics. That's probably horrible. The background sounds, however, were what tipped me off when I first heard the Depeche Mode Personal Jesus remix. That FUCKED with my brain. The lyrics and voice seemed right, or at least not wrong. The background sounds were different, but only slightly. I thought I must have been remembering them wrong. It had been a while. Then I thought "No, it has to be a REALLY good cover." Thank god for back announcements.
