I have been wondering about ages in Days of the Future Past. Does anyone know or care to venture a guess as to what age Rogue/Bobby/Kitty etc were supposed to be

I think looking for internal consistency across all of the movies is near impossible, but if we take the start of X1, in which Rogue was 16 or so, and put it approximately in the present at the time the film came out, 2000, then add 23 years ... Rogue would be 40ish. Though she certainly didn't look it. And Jean and Scott needed to be at least 10 years older, so she would have been 50ish, which ... nah.

Maybe Logan didn't end up back in 2023, though? It seemed to me those scenes at the end, with Rogue and Bobby and Jean and Scott, were meant as a revisioning of X3? Ie maybe somehow Logan ended up back in 2005/2010 or so, rather than 2023?, so Rogue would be late twenties?

Consistency is too much to ask for from the whole franchise, but I think it can be done with just x1, x2, x3, and dofp. More than likely x1 was not meant to be in 2000, but 'not to distant future' which tptb could play with later as needed.

The way I understood their explanation for time travel was that Logan would wake up at the same time he went under or there about. To strengthen tptb's argument they had Logan tell the Professor he was missing 50 years. (1973 + 50= 2023) I didn't take the ending as a revisioning of x3, but rather 2023 in the new time line. The Professor was able to head off x3 and possibly part of x2 that led to x3.

Hmm...I'm going to guess and say that she would be in her late 20s, early 30s. In X1, it starts by saying in the "not so distant future", so maybe it's not meant to be 2000, but something like 15 or so years into the future

I nodded along with your entire explanation. I was thinking along these lines but forgot the years for wolverine2 and was a couple of years off for x1. I think you are right at having Rogue around 25, that would also have allowed Kitty to have gone to college and be back teaching.
