Stop! Blather time.
It's been a long time since I nattered on about something, so I suppose I should do just that.
So, a number of my Iplehouse dolls jumped ship. Oops. That is not to say that Iplehouse and I have broken up, however. We're just taking a short hiatus so that we can resume our relationship with renewed passion and respect. That said, Selene and L'wren are still in residence and shall remain so. mienaihane and I have also revised our standpoint on skintone, and I think the various Cathayans that return to roost will be NS. I definitely will be acquiring another Yur, and am considering a Bichun for Sh'ran 2.0, as well as SID Luna and Cherie for Gwenna and Winter.
On the other hand, Soom and I have broken up. I'm sorry baby, it's not you, it's me. Well no, it sort of is you. Let's just be friends? In a nutshell, all of my Soom dolls have now moved on.
Pipos Dark Cheshire is nearly paid off and hopefully will make an appearance soon.
I renewed my flirtation with Dollshe Bernard. I bought an original Bernard head off the Marketplace, although oddly it took me a while to warm to him. Fuuma 2.0 has truly wormed his way into my heart and it was hard to harken back to the days of my torrid affair with 1.0. I considered selling him a few times, and then came up with an character concept I liked. He's going to be a cellist, with all the savory complications that 'tortured musician' brings to the table. I found a cello that should be in scale, although it will set me back about $150. It's also a real cello, although I'm not sure what sort of sound quality one can expect for $150. However, it looks nice. I think I'm also going to get him a pair of the Loongsoul jointed hands, the ones with the extra thumb joint; the better to embrace his muse with, no? >D As it happens, I'm glad I didn't sell the head when I was tempted to, because when the Dollshecraft sale came about, I plopped it on the marketplace and netted enough to buy a whole doll with both faceplates. Bwahaha. >D Ahem. Probably will be looking into sending both faceplates off to either the lovely Lyn or Cheryl~
Volks and I have continued our relationship and are looking to settle down in a little house in the country. At last count, I have an Alain hybrid, an SDGR Minoru, a modded SchA boy, an MSD Schulze, and three little Yo-devils. I have also entered the Dolpa lottery for a DDDy White Christmas ALNA. Yes, I did it for her beautiful bazoombas, I am not afraid to admit that.
There has been a slight lineup change. I have decided to re-shell Marron, my Elf Chiwoo girl. However, being a complete sucker for Elf Chiwoos, instead of selling that head, I am rearranging the Silverthorne family. Morgan now has a twin brother, whose name has proven itself amusingly elusive. I want one of the new double-jointed Fantasy Doll bodies for him, and we'll see how the rest develops. Marron will be their older sister, and will become a Feeple65. I really like the girl sculpt they've shown us, and have tentatively decided on her, although I also want to see if they have any other girls forthcoming.
That brings us to plans going forward... Definite acquisitions include a NS IP EID Yur, a NS Feeple65 girl and an Fdoll bod for Morgan's twin. Next priority I think will be acquiring Hades and a body for Dietrich (Spiritdoll 60cm). Hades will be an Angell Studio Ty in butter. Then I think I may concentrate on getting Gwenna, who will be an SID Luna in NS. Next step beyond that I think will be Alexandra's lady in waiting, Lady Olivia. I originally wanted a Volks Rinon for her, but while I still really like Rinon, I think Angell Studio's recent release Terezie is going to be an even better fit. Somewhere in there I want a Pukifee PongPong (and possible a puki, too) to be Even Chibier Fuuma. Yes, it's a sickness.
Moving even further beyond that, I would really like to get my hands on a Volks Irvin at some point. Morgan wants one to be his boyfriend, and I just freaking want one. XD Also thinking really hard about getting a NS Bichun to be big Shan. Will be checking out the owner pics as they come in with that in mind. I've also decided as a side project I'd like to build an Ichigo doll. I *really* want a Hijikata head for that, which I will then put on another delicious Spiritdoll body. That may be just a pipe-dream for now, depends on whether I can find one for the price I'm willing to pay. Although I think the ALNA would make an awesome Hime. XD The re-release of the Happydolls by Ndoll has made me think Margo would make a really nice Demeter. Hm, do I want Sephi's mom around? Perhaps... I also will want an SID Cherie for Winter eventually.
In the realm of pure speculation, B&G just released their vampire girl Burrysa in NS. I confess upon seeing her I was tempted by the idea of resurrecting Asherah. Asha was my very first doll, a Dollzone Yume girl, and while I was definitely feeling mostly done with minis and don't regret selling her, it might be nice to re-shell her into an SD. That said, while I like their heads, B&G's girl body doesn't appeal to me at all. So I would probably want to acquire just the head and find her a better body. Hmmm....
