was wondering about that. How does that work? I assume you are just a "resident Alien" in Oz, but if you want to become a citizen of Emu-Land must you surrender your US Passport?
Can you have dual citizenship, and does that mean you get double the votes?
Legal Australian resident at the moment, but she is still a US citizen. After 5 years of permanent residency, she's entitled to apply for Australian citizenship, but the power of Americanosity is so strong that she still gets to stay American and part bald-eagle till the day she dies.
What it really means is that if she travels to or from the US, she uses her American passport, but anywhere else she goes she has a choice of using her Apple Pie Flavoured One or the Australian passport.
