Smoke Free Zone?

OK, so I'm halfway through day three of HELL um, being smoke-free.

Anyone know how long it will take till I stop thinking about smoking every second of the day?

Only took me about one year for EVERY SECOND. Tho it's been five for me and it's still several times per day.

I found the best thing is to tie some REALLY horrible punishment to having a smoke. For me it was Mrs. Weer'd getting pissed at me. No matter how bad I felt, I knew I'd feel worse if I smoked!

Maybe you can have a smoke, but you need to put the butt out on the back of your hand?

Good luck buddy! It's a shitty journey, but well worth it!

I've known people who get over it much faster. It really depends on you, your willpower, etc.

It depends. Took me three, and I still occasionally think about it.

One thing that helped me was chewing gum. It meant I had something for my mouth to do when I wasn't eating or talking (I would occasionally just leave the cig in my mouth, even when it wasn't lit).

Until you substitute the addiction for something else.
