how long do you pop and do you need to add oil to pop it?

I honestly just used the popcorn setting on the microwave, but the typical statement about waiting until the pops are 1-2 seconds apart I think would apply

And no, you don't *have* to add oil. Which is just sweet.

I just saw a warning from someone on the other list I posted this to stating to *not* put the bag on it's side, or it will burn. So I thought I'd pass that along as well.

This is fantastic, and I know my housemate has popcorn sitting around. Now I just need some bags! Thank you so much for posting about this!

I am, fwiw, actually doing WW again, at least with books/calculator (not paying for meetings, I can't afford it), and have made it almost a week and a half so far. Since I've lacked sufficient motivation/willpower to even start for the last year or so, I'm really pleased. Now I need to buy a scale so I can better tell how I'm doing! ^_^

Go you! I bet you're doing great!

There are some pretty decently priced and fairly accurate scales on Amazon BTW

I've never used staples because they make me nervous too. I used to do this all the time until I received my own air popper. The popped corn always tastes better than the preservative-laden, artificially flavoured pre-fabbed microwave bags.
