Don't mix. My iPod nano decided that it had had quite enough of the fringe field of the 17.625 T* magnet and refused to function. Happily, there was recovery information available via the net (press the center button and the menu button simultaneously and hold until little Apple logo appears) but it was a disconcerting event until that moment
