Unfortunately I don't have experience with either one - are you open to considering Steelseries or is that off the table? (I know, super helpful question that dodges your original question)

I do have a steelseries siberia v2 headset that I love :) it comes in a variety of colors, one of which is pink. I find it super comfortable to wear for long periods of time (I am normally super picky about headsets because 90% of them give me a headache after 30 minutes), good price etc. It doesn't have any extra frills or features, but I think it is a nice headset.

My brother reccommended I stay away from steelseries as the audio crackles a bit and collects interference often. I was eying those as well. I do love SS's other perfipherals though!

I have not so good luck with headphones. I started off with a Razer Chimera but unfortunately didn't read the fine print and discovered it works best with consoles, not PC. So now I have a $300 set of headphones sitting in my cupboard. (if anyone wants a pair of Razer Chimera headphones, N7 branded, brand new hardly used... :P)

Then I had a pair of Turtle Beach Earforce Z6A's which were brilliant for about a month, very comfy and with excellent sound quality. Unfortunately after a month the side of the earpiece snapped and they wouldn't give me a warranty return as they said I'd been too hard on them and it was outside normal use. (because taking of a set of headphones is not what you do, yeah...)

I've currently got a set of Logitech G35 gaming headphones. I've had them for about 6 months now with no issue. Sound quality is excellent, they're comfy and easy to use, come with their own software, and I haven't read a really bad review on them yet. I thoroughly recommend them.

Thanks for the input, I'll look into them. And I've seen several TB's come through our store busted and the kids wanting them fixed (which my dad'll do but ugh is it a pain). So I'm weary of TBs.

My husband and I each have a pair of TB X12s, one new, the other a reburb. No complaints from either of us so far. *shrugs* I'm fine with cheap and effective.
