Favorite reviewers/players?

I'd love to know who some of your most beloved and respected game reviewers or game channels are. I'm really looking for more players and reviewers who play a wide variety of games, including indie, and aren't sexist boneheads (or at the very least give a decent apology when called out for being one).

Harshly Critical is a fairly respectful individual and he seems more honest than most LPers

I really like GhostRobo a lot. I've never heard him say anything sexist, and he plays a fair variety of games. I can't say about indie games, but I do enjoy his walkthroughs of big-name games because he seems to be the only one that isn't cursing up a storm or making sexist comments the entire time.

I like Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw of Zero Punctuation. More than a few people don't care for the way he seems to nitpick or dig at a game's faults, but I am not so sensitive. He's definitely had some harsh things to say about some games that I love but it still made me laugh out loud.

I will warn you that he is crass; however, he does point out sexist and racist moments in a lot of the games he's reviewed. It's probably easier to tell what a well-rounded individual he is from his articles, Extra Punctuation.

I actually really love Yahtzee, and trust his opinion way more than most reviewers.

Oh yes, me too. Especially since he doesn't blindly give out praise for the latest popular piece of gaming. It's also funny to watch him begrudgingly give praise when he normally doesn't like something but acknowledges that it has quality.

Mostly just Gamasutra tbh. It's an industry site tbh that filters out a lot of the kiddies and jerks. So it may be boring for a lot of gamers but I like it. They've done a fair job of including women and LGBT people in their coverage.

I still go to Kotaku. They try, bless their hearts* but the comments section is still full of neckbeards and mansplainers and Kotaku still turns around and posts "HURR DURR SEXY COSPLAY BOOBS" like that Metal Gear Solid one they did recently.

*I mean that in the Southern US way, which means Kotaku is stupid.

Not always videogame related - and its usually something old, knockoff and/or silly - but I really like Ashens on YouTube.

I used to go to the AV Club's game section a lot, it's pretty good.
