RPG Maker

I recently got the RPG Maker VX Ace and am beginning to make my own game, and I'm wondering if anyone else here has done that. If not, have you played any RPG Maker games? Did you like them? I'm rather fond of Deadly Sin 2 and Aveyond, although Aveyond is... not notable for its healthy, loving relationships

I had it for the PS2 and I had to buy a usb keyboard to get all the text in which never really worked. Needless to say - I wandered off. Using a controller to scroll to each letter kinda puts the cramp in building an epic adventure.

But I found the interface really easy to get along with. I will confess I haven't played an RPG maker game yet.

Isn't there a way to import your own graphics yet or like in old Mahjong when you could take a tile and edit the picture so it would fit the file size and dimensions?

Yes, people can and do edit their own graphics in, but that's a bit much for the likes of me right now.

I'm surprised to hear it was even on the PS2. It doesn't seem like the right medium at all.

Totally wasn't. I felt SO bad for my friend that surprised me with it because she shelled out $50.
Like I said, a lousy time for RPG Maker ^_^ It was RPG3 around 2006.
