late period but negative pregnancy tests

I am just so frustrated right now! My period is 5 days late, I've taken pregnancy tests and all were negative so far. I swore I ovulated august 10th or around then, as I had egg white cirvical mucuss, then had cramps a couple days later after that. A week and a half ago or so, I had brown and pink discharge when I wiped and a few cramps here and

For me it took 14 months to get my cycle back after getting off birth control.  Even if you're having a cycle, you may not be ovulating yet.  Your body could be trying to, and making something close to EWCM in the process, but not quite doing it yet.

Seems unlikely that you would be pregnant with negative tests this late -- unless you ovulated later and there is any chance that an egg would have been fertilized if you did.  But probably possible.  I personally would test again in a week, and maybe again even after that, to be sure before doing any testing that they don't want to do if pregnant.  And also use protection in the mean time just in case you do ovulate way late in the cycle, to make sure that by the time you do the testing therebis really zero chance of pregnancy.

Thank you. I really thought I did ovulate. I had the egg white cm, the cramping, the sex drive, all that stuff. But who knows. I really hope it doesn't take me that long get back on track.

Going to keep testing each week but then see the obgyn after that.
