For once, I would like to have a vacation that's not interrupted by UNIT calling me in to help with an alien invasion. Is that really too much to ask for?

Welcome to my life. I had a baby while under enemy fire. But shooting back at least helped me get through the PAIN. Peacekeeper birthing is so much simpler, but I had to add human genetics to the mix.

Really? Cross-species genetics, then? If you don't mind my asking (sorry, doctor, can't really help it), how did that come about?

We fell in love.

But also, I think my species (Sebacean) is, as John put it, an off shoot of humans. He found evidence in an ancient settlement. Other than a few minor internal differences, we are genetically compatible. Little D'Argo is very much his father's son. And for that, I apologize to the universe.

Yes, I have. And he adores you. John's the perfect combination of Nick's looks, Greg's geek, and Grissom's brain.

Not that that combination is perfect, of course.

Pilot's plans are always the better route. Though there are some days when I am suspicious that his plan is to space us all.
