Title: Say it and it shall be so
Fandom: White Collar
Characters: El (pre-Peter/Neal/El)
Rating: PG
Warnings: Vague references to sex and issues of power imbalance
Spoilers: None
Word Count: 120

El lists the reasons in her head every night before she goes to sleep, like a mantra, like a lesson, like a prayer, counting them off on her fingers as if she's counting rosary beads; there’s her husband’s career, his reputation, the myriad moral issues and questions of consent and abuse of power, and of course her husband’s heart which will be so completely shattered when it ends, not to mention their marriage - which she thinks could withstand this, could withstand anything, but there’s no way to be sure - and El tells herself that it’s a long enough list, that there are more than enough reasons there to keep Neal Caffrey out of their hearts and out of their bed.

Title: Losing Jadzia

Characters: Joan Watson
Rating: G
Warnings: none
Spoilers: 1.08 'The Long Fuse' (last aired episode)
Word Count: 117

Leaning against the door, Joan smiled as she watched Sherlock interact with Alfredo, pleased that her decision to call him over had been the right one after all- not that she had ever doubted herself- realizing that she would truly be leaving Sherlock in capable hands when she left ... left ... she was going to be leaving soon, an idea that she hadn't spent too much time dwelling on, except when reminding Sherlock about it, of course, and surprised herself at how much the idea of not seeing him day in and day out bothered her, more than she thought it would, as she realized for the first time that she might not want to go after all.
