Unfortunately, there is not much new in my life. I'm finally done with the spring semester, and thankfully I passed everything. Now I am in a new lab full-time this summer. Some random thoughts:

- The Vortex has really good burgers, even if the restaurant's facade is scary at first (its entrance is a giant skull--you walk in through the mouth). For my introductory graduate seminar, I have to give one 15 minute talk per semester on a journal article of my choice. I presented my paper today. I talked for almost twenty minutes on why PP1 causes decreased retention of long-term memory. I don't know. I had to make a Powerpoint presentation, and I even used a laser pointer. I have had a persistent cough for about four or five days. It's annoying, but I'm pretty certain that it's all part of my illness pattern, since I've had a persistent cough the last few times that I've fallen ill. Until today, my life was fairly exciting and busy. This past weekend, I went to Amicalola State Park (in GA) for the annual Neuroscience Program Retreat. Friday night was miserable, for it rained all night, and I got wet. I was in a three-person tent with three other people, which made it rather cramped. My pillow got soaked. It sucked.
