okay. Since I've got a job that pays pretty decently, and I've wanted a computer of my own for quite some time, should I invest in a macbook pro? I mean, when I transfer out I'm gonna need photoshop. I figure it'd be a muchhhh better bargain to get the program and the laptop for one kinda hefty price instead of a decently priced well equipped

i believe it would be in your best interest to get a mac because you do need it for your art projects. and i'm sure you can get how-to books on operating one. and they're tight and that's all i have to say.
p.s. there was an advertisement of apple while i was typing this and could very well be a sign.

It's settled, then. After I'm done getting my endless list of art supplies [I still haven't been to my painting class yet!] and my like three books I'm going to start saving up for a MacbookPro.
