Heartbreak can feel like being physically ill, that I believe completely. On the other hand I know people who would require way more than 3 days a year.

It would be nice if Japan just gave mental health days- for heartbreak, stress, whatever. But yes, I definitely know people who would need more than three days. And I find it sadly amusing that they think a 30-something year old would need more time to get over it, probably because it is yet another marriage prospect gone and one step closer to her doomed spinsterhood.
