The Cat and the Bag

So, as Hodge would say, the cat's out of the bag. A week and a half after ending my relationship with Dez, I found out we're to be parents together. How's that for irony. Of course, whenever the cat's out of the bag around me, I end up with scratches. I suppose, though, that this time of year works well for a lot of red on the hands and arms as it works for Halloween and the redness blends in well with Christmas... yeah, definitely. Heck, I once knew this cat who really didn't mind staying in a bag for long periods of time. In fact, I seem to remember that this cat in question loved to play around retirement homes quite a lot with all the old "bags". Makes for fairly amusing times like bingo and wheelchair races down the hall. Boy, this cat was really something else. The elderly would line up and down the sides of the hall and prepare for his incredible "hall" races, much like street racing, and he'd show up with a bag over his head to conceal his identity (it never occured to him that, being the only kitty around, a simple bag over the head wouldn't hide much in the way of an identity) and the race would be on until the nurses got wind of what was going down and everyone would have to scatter back to ( ... )
