Bizarrely enough, I actually knew who Don Bradman was, and yet, like several other things on the list, it didn't actually register when I was filling out the poll! I'm very bad at these quizzes...

Also, while I obviously ended up reading about it elsewhere, I first heard about Gallipoli in an early '80s TV series called ANZACS, which I saw as a child and thought was the greatest, most moving thing ever and which set me up for a lifetime of weeping over WW1. I presume it was an Australian production - do you remember it?

Oh, I think I remember that -- sort of a miniseries with Paul Hogan in it? I think I've seen it a couple of times. Sort of Anzac-legend-rite-of-passage for young Australians, along with Gallipoli and the story of Simpson and his donkey.

I like Salada better than the others.

Lightly salted goodness!

God, now I just want cheese and tomato saladas so badly. I'm so easily led.

Oh, I dunno. I spent 8 weeks in Brisbane, and I blame XXX and VB for how completely unproductive I was while I was there. And for how many boys I kissed...

I should have ticked off Alice Springs; I thought there might me more to it than that.

Thanks for the information. Information is good.
