I was really tired last night and couldn't find anything kind to say about Midge other than, well at least he seems larger than a cat.
Which would only make sense if you know how much I believe dogs need to be larger than cats and how much I've wanted my friends annoying little dog to be eaten by her large cats. It's been 3 years so I think they're going to let him live even though he's prey sized.
I'm with you -- we'd never had a dog smaller than Jack until Mum inherited Midge when Nan died. And despite his endearing qualities, I'd never choose a little dog, either.
Oh! I love dogs, as well as cats. That first shot of Jack, looking up at you, is *so* sweet. I'm glad that you've been able to spend some time with him before you leave. Thank you for sharing him with us.
Oh, don't worry about whispering. We tell Midge that too his face, regularly. "Don't steal Jack's food; he's bigger, older and better-looking than you."
